Waterbird is a hybrid of our true-selves, connecting to the depth we all have inside, just like the ocean, with the freedom to explore, play and feel high just like a bird in flight. Waterbird events and experiences whether an ecstatic dance, mountain hike or retreat, hold space for this level of self-expression and self-exploration. Waterbird is holding it’s very first weekend event from 20th to 22nd September 2019. This is the equinox weekend, the perfect time to tune in, find your own equilibrium, celebrate the vibrance of the Summer and transition into Autumn.
WHEN + WHERE
We invite you for a weekend experience from Friday 20th through to Sunday 22nd or Monday 23rd of September.
We've foraged to discover the perfect venue nestled in the Northumbrian countryside, just a short distance from the breathtaking North East coastline with close access to trains and the A1. The perfect space to strip back from the hustle and bustle, tell tales around a log burning fire and completely disconnect to reconnect.

WHAT
WHY
We will take you on a journey of self-enquiry and self-expression while learning and exploring together in nature. Expect to arrive and be totally cared for, from food, accommodation and activities. Enabling you to feel totally held and free to fully connect with your self your experience and the people you meet.

There will be Yoga, meditation and workshops across the weekend. Plant based homemade food. A chance to dance and let loose. And many surprises along the way... prepare to put your phones in airplane mode and step out of your comfort zone.

Why the Equinox weekend? This is a transitional time of year when day and night, dark and light find perfect equilibrium. A prime time for reflection and introspection, to celebrate the turning of the seasons and tune into our own natural rhythm. To leave feeling motivated, inspired, connected and balanced to move in a purposeful direction.

YOGA + ECSTATIC DANCE
Waterbird is joining forces with Yoga Therapies Newcastle to host an evening of natural movement inspired yoga and self-expressive ecstatic dance. Both accompanied by live DJ set and a curated sound track to take the mind, body and soul on the journey through sound and movement.

This is not your normal yoga class expect to move and tune into your body in new intuitive ways. Followed by the ecstatic dance with will spark your inner free spirit and you will leave feeling freer than when you came in to the space. Ticket available via the yoga therapies website.
